Inexpensive to ship, very rugged and with optional colors, this sluice box Runs in both fast and slow water. This works well on clean ups because of the slow water design.

Most Gold is caught within the first 4 Riffles. The Le Trap was always known as the “Bank Robber” and “River Robber” Sluice Box and the Le’ Trap Mini comes in both versions also. It is incredibly lightweight and will always Catch fine gold and large nuggets. The Le Trap sluice weighs less than 1 pound, so it is very easy to fit into a back pack.

BANK ROBBER VERSION: If you are using it for a high banker or a trommel like we sell, then you want to order the top not cut version from us.
RIVER ROBBER VERSION: If you want to use it in a stream, then we have the top cut for you.
Many customers have ruined their new sluice by trying to cut it with a saw on they’re own. We do that for you, nice an clean, ready to go.
OPERATION: The really unique thing about the Le’ Trap Mini ™ is that you don’t need to have fast running water. In the faster water, simply angle the sluice at a flatter angle, around 5 to 7 degrees. With slower water, you can angle the sluice slightly more. However, our experience is this sluice runs really flat and processes the Gold well. The Flared Riffle Design causes the water flow to slow as it passes through the sluice, just like a river. After the flare the water slows causing a low pressure area for Gold to drop easily, resulting in optimum gold recovery.
Remember all those times you had to carry heavy metal sluice boxes? That is in the past. This sluice is made of high impact ABS plastic and will take a lot of abuse. This ABS is the same used in many products today like Lego’s, Garbage Cans, Dash Boards in cars, Etc. ABS is designed to be used outdoors in extreme elements, which is the reason why we use this product to produce these wonderful sluices for our customers.
